I wanted to buy a smart device, but because of limited budget I found it quite difficult to make the right choice. Then one of my friends suggested two superb choices—Sony Xperia E and Nokia Lumia 520. So I decided to compare both the devices in order to pick the most suitable one for me.
- Nokia Lumia 520 offers an IPS LCD display of 4 inches whereas Xperia E is equipped with a slightly smaller TFT display of 3.5 inches. The plus with Xperia is that it has a weight of just 115.7 grams which makes it lighter than the 124 grams Lumia handset
- If you have a look at Sony Xperia E Specification list you will find that the device is powered by a Cortex A5 processor, clocked at 1 GHz. You will also notice a Snapdragon MSM 7227A chipset from QUALCOMM. Whereas on the other hand Lumia device features dual core processor, that too clocked at 1 GHz. The processor in Lumia is paired with Snapdragon MSM 8227 chipset from QUALCOMM. Both the devices offer RAM of 512 MB.
- Another difference is that Lumia 520 runs on Windows Phone 8 from Microsoft whereas Sony Xperia E features Android 4.1 Jelly bean operating system. I being a hardcore Android fan, definitely got interested in buying Xperia E.
- Another great thing that made me inclined towards Xperia E is the battery backup of the device. It comes equipped with a Li-Ion battery of 1530 mAh, which offers better battery life in comparison to the 1430 Li-Ion battery present in Nokia Lumia 520. The presence of a more powerful battery justifies Sony Xperia E Price.
After making fair comparison I had a look at the rates of the two devices and found that Nokia Lumia could be bought at Rs 8350 whereas Sony Xperia E Price in India was just Rs 6820. So I finally opted for Xperia E.
